Review of completed work

I have put together a short video covering some of my completed work for my viewers.  The work is completed in a Stainless Steel medium and has been either acrylic painted or given hues by heat tinting the alloy.   All craftsmanship is hand made and follows old world techniques with a modern twist.

If you want to follow and see my updates let me know.  I respect everyones privacy and safeguard their address.

I want to thank you for taking the time to review the Art Style.

Single Red Rose

The single red rose was made with simple layout but still elegant with deep memory.  People tell me that the simple rose is a favorite of theirs because it serves as a lasting memory to their loved ones.  The subject line of the Rose is also favored because there are also so many variations of rose types and color variations.

Making of "Sun of Rock" a new sculpture

The Metal Sculpture "Sun of Rock" was created with a subjective line of work.  A musical art group named the http://www.morrowsmemory.com Morrow's Memory wanted to display a single black rose to promote my line of art by the Bass Guitarist which is Scott Sarnia.  He wanted to display small roses that have detail but are of  lower cost.  I thought of the promotion and agreed if I can proceed with another piece of art first to display my creative side that is outside of my comfort box.  Scott was not sure what I was up to but he agreed with my gesture and this is the results of the project.

The mediuim is again Stainless Steel that has been heat tinted for the hues.

The work is hand done and is detailed using the "Single Blow" and "Repousse" forming.

This sculpture measures 18 inches wide by 12 inches in height.

The Sculpture will be on display at the "Rivers Edge Gallery" in Wyandotte, Michigan http://artattheedge.com that represents Dave's work.

New Dimension of Clematis

Working with others on the "Clematis" has proven to be worthy in my development work.  The sculpture was expanded with a new backing in Stainless Steel that added depth to the original master.
The Rivers Edge in Wyandotte, Mi displays the Sculpture and the has been getting positive review of the art.  This wall mounted Sculpture measures 33 inches wide by 44 inches high.

Making Steel Art "Pop"

I was talking last week with Interior Designer Patt Slack @ her Gallery the "Rivers Edge" in Wyandotte, MI about my art style.  I want her to help me by asking some of her clients about my art to find out what the public really thinks of it.  With her feed back from some of her clients we discovered that a common perception is being made of the art.
The style is too 70's...  I started to explain that it isn't production art... "STOP Dave",  Patt stated.  I have been explaining that to clients but they insist that it looks too 70's.
I need a new dimension in the art to make it in this generation of Art Collectors.

For the next couple of weeks I will be looking at the art style to "unfold" with a new dimension in some of my original pieces.  The new dimension will be added to Wall Art but Pedestal Art will inherit a stand made just for that Composition.
