Testimony of Client Centric Sculpture

Work of consignment art has been very promising for me because it is what the client wants from heart.

Art lovers review my work and they observe the texture, flow of grain, and the blend of hues that make the work come to life.

One of my clients “Colleen and Don” liked the natural look of my Ivy and the Yellow Rose art form.   She wanted to have it made in a self-standing art form with no vase.

Colleen corresponded back to me when it was completed and I asked if her statement could become a “Testimony” in my Blog writing.

The Art Piece is called “Promises”  which measures 10” x 14”

Just a quick note to let you know how lovely my rose is from your "Promises" series.  It sits in my living room curio cabinet where I can always see it and feel it's peacefulness ..... knowing it was "created" for me by you (and Don too because he's the one that introduced me to your work).  You are very talented and I feel honored that your first piece from "Promises" is mine - thank you.

Rosa Boarder

The sculpture design "Rosa Boarder" was made as a ceiling art piece that is suitable for our home as an illustration of the design. The composition is made of Stainless Steel and is Acrylic painted that measures 8 inches high x 5 feet long. The artist is currently working in Stainless Steel for a "Green" material as to help our recycling efforts. This material comes from a local sheet metal company "J&J SheetMetal Company in Clinton Twsp, MI.

The Sun Series

Work in 2008 was difficult because of that old full-time job but the starving artist must carry on with life and still survive. Dave expanded his line of art this year by making a new series of art by making the "Sun Series". A lot of artist that make the "Sun", hope to catch a few rays and make someone smile. Dave put the sun series together piece by piece with hand made segments and then acrylic painted the Stainless Steel. The art can readily be hung on the wall or put on a custom stand if requested for table or mantle display. The Series are 12 inches in diameter and can be made custom if requested.

Composing sculpture of Floral Design for people is an extension of my feelings and appreciation for life. I have worked with may groups of people throughout my life expressing the importance of Quality and the way we control it. In our busy every day communication we sometimes loose touch with that control and the expectations of our customer. As an artist of floral design I have made a commitment to entire Art Community and Market to exceed client expectations by putting a composition together with pride and merit. This composition is named "Individuality" which is 8 inch by 5 feet long.

Artist Statement

I choose to use quality industrial metal drops of Stainless Steel to make my art because it is a green material, a material that will be transformed into subjects of nature, the essence of nature itself. By using old world techniques, sculptures of accent art are created. With a painterly style, progressive layers of translucent acrylics emit luminance of the detail, a natural display in two or three dimension art. My creativity and passion flows with Customer Centric Art, a subject that is centered and then composed to form the sculptures, a blend for the Collectors' interior designing.

Hosting Hospitality with Sculptures

This is "Steel Magnolia which was made in 2004. The medium is stainless steel that has been painted with acrylic. Measurements of the art are 12"W by 14"H which make it easy to place in different locations of the home or office.

The sculpure offers elegance for any room that occupies other art pieces or just by itself. By setting the piece by itself the viewer is drawn to its magnetic personality, which gives hospitality.

For whom do I create the art form? I create my art for people that want to buy it.

Expressing thought with details

Expression to me as an Artist is a challenge because it is an extension of the art itself.  The character of each detail expresses our inter feelings and thoughts as we create a painting, sculpture,  photo, or a song.  I have studied different styles of art forms to learn what made the Artist successful.  I chose my medium "stainless steel" for it's difficulty to shape, inner character, and ability to show expression of my thoughts.  This is "African Sunset" from the exotic floral group, Pincushions.

Clematis Wall Design

The Clematis Wallscape is an elegant design originated for entry ways and foyers. The art measures 46" wide by 38" high which was made in 2006. The art is an original made of Stainless Steel and is a true conversation piece in any home or office conference room.

Creative Wallscapes

Being creative in wallscapes is open for flow and a desire for change by decor style.  I am creating different art designs that express  natural flow and texture.  Even though the medium is stainless steel it expresses style because of the natural hues when the metal is heat treated.  In this piece of art the Lilacs are distorted in shape and the Ivy balances the elegance of the Roses.  This design is 40" Tall by 32"Wide which was created in 2007.  The project was labor intense but well worth the time.

I would like to get feed-back on the art to see if the public agrees with my efforts.  I am starting this Blog to get different opinions from collectors and artists alike.

 

Who am I

I am a self-taught artist working in metal sculptures of floral & nature related design. I have been developing my style and technique for 8 year.  The art is intended to be for interior decorating right now and is being expanded to exterior design.  The medium is currently of Stainless Steel that has been heat-treated to obtain the desired hues and/or painted with acrylics.  

The artist is not trying to copy mother nature but instead drawing out the essence of mother nature to capture the subject in sculpture.

Currently, sculptures have been made as table arrangements, wallscapes, and pedistal arrangements.

I am open to suggestions and feed-back to the art and progression for future works.
